Princess has a Sommelier class in NYC today and tomorrow, so we’ve moved into a hotel and I’m working out of the IBM offices on Madison Avenue. I was tickled a bright Web 2.0 shade of pink to see that Loki had no problems determining my location on the basis of which WiFi nodes it was seeing around me.

Last nite we had dinner at Veritas and may I say those were the best sweetbreads I’ve had this side of the Atlantic. We had a delicious Chateauneuf-du-Pape from 1998, a Vieux Telegraphe and it had been kept in perfect condition… not a trace of oxidation.

Anyway, back to my endless Monday morning conference calls…

UPDATE: Made a reservation at Cafe Gray for dinner tonite. Hopefully carpal tunnel won’t be a factor… I miss my ergonomic keyboard in the transient’s cubicle here.

Been busy filing for my Green Card lately, which process recently culminated in a medical exam this week, and the paperwork went to DHS today… just before the filing fees went up one thousand dollars. (Not that they were cheap to begin with!)

Princess and I should be called in for the interview sometime in the next few weeks or months, depending on how backed up they are right now.

Oh, in case you were wondering, I am the picture of health according to the doc.

But then, we already knew that… I have very healthy hobbies!

Easy, invite her over for dinner and serve her homemade sourdough bread with a fine selection of cheese, pork products and wine.

No need for a starter, main course or dessert. She’ll dive right in and feel like she’s home.
